Hi Kylie! First off, I was pleased with your video and how it captures Martin Parr's style of work and techniques. I liked how you incorporated how different aspects of a photograph created an effect that had an impact on you and your interpretation of the story behind the picture. However, as I continued to watch the video, I noticed that the second half did not have audio, so I was unable to determine your evaluation of the rest of the photographs. Overall, I love how Martin Parr successfully captures photos of modern life with a very casual tone. I, personally was inspired by how even though each photo was taken in their everyday life, there is a deep meaning(s) behind each, allowing for interpretation. I think that his photography made me realize that there are indeed so many realms of photography that exist. Compared to the work that I evaluated, it is similar in the intent and the message conveyed but different in the techniques and time period. Learning about this photographer will allow me to incorporate various styles in my future photographic work.
